Accounting Standards (AS) is the working reference for every company reporting outside the Ind AS framework—the authentic notified text, not a paraphrase of it. It carries the whole of the Companies (Accounting Standards) Rules 2021 and all 27 standards, preserving every paragraph number, proviso, Explanation and transitional provision, down to the bold-italic main principles set apart from the plain-type text exactly as they appear in the Gazette. The official illustrations, model formats and decision trees are printed in full—the part most often trimmed elsewhere, and the part that makes the volume usable at the desk rather than merely citable. Twenty-nine pages of analysis settle applicability before the law begins: which framework governs a company, and what a Small and Medium-Sized Company may leave out—relief that reappears as sixteen provisos placed at the precise paragraph each one modifies. Amended upto 1st August 2026, the 2026 Edition carries the Companies (Accounting Standards) Amendment Rules 2026 with the newly inserted AS 22 paragraphs printed in position, not appended as an addendum.
